Jaguar Knob Shift
Jaguar seems to be perpetually coming up with new Jaguar Knob Shift. Here's an evolution of them. Back to Interior. These knobs work on ALL S3 XJ6/12 cars. They also work on MOST XJS cars. Our guess is that they also work on S2 and possibly on S1 cars. The Jaguar part number was JAG 161. With the introduction of the new XJ6 into various markets between 1986 and 1988, came a new shift knob. That meant a new Jaguar Knob Shift. In this case, part number JAG 160.Soon, Jaguar tired of the carved-in Growler and decided to use a metal piece, soon available in either silver or gold. These are available today.
The S-TYPE completes the story, with a chromed alloy Jaguar Knob Shift. Seems to me that this unit would be a bit chilly in the hand on a frosty morning. This pair, a column shift knob and turn lever knob, went on a very cool '65 El Camino. The swirl is actually a mix of medium blue and clear. The depth is awesome! Clear or pearled clear makes a great shift knob with just about any solid color. This shift knob was originally made for Jaguar cars. It features a stitched tan leather covered grip or a solid mahogany construction. it is 3" tall, 2" deep and 1.75" wide. The Jaguar Knob Shift has the MOMO logo embossed in the top. The wood knob has no logo.
Jaguar Knob Shift is not a universal fit knob like the other MOMO shift knobs. It is threaded for an 8mm 1.25 (fine thread) shift shaft. If you are handy with tools, it could be drilled and tapped for up to a 10 mm or 3/8" shift shaft, but no larger than that. Jaguar Knob Shift features an aluminum alloy construction that is either chrome plated or black anodized. Leather grips come in a range of colors and feature hand stitched seams and the MOMO logo embossed in the top. Available in black anodized w/yellow or red leather grip, natural silver w/yellow, or blue grip, or gold, blue or red anodized w/black grip. This shift knob is 2.75" (70 mm) tall and 2" (50 mm) in diameter and weighs 4.7 ounces (134 grams).
